Parents.

Your input is vital to your child’s musical success.  Your encouragement and interest will be invaluable in ensuring your child’s progress. 

Practice

Regular daily practice is of paramount importance for a student to make progress.  Suitable times must be set aside to develop good habits.  Please discuss this with your teacher.

Plan

It is essential that your child bring all material to every lesson.  

Listening

Take time to listen to your child and give them every opportunity to play for friends and family.  Expose your child to music appreciation, source instrumental music including the instrument on which they learn.  Music appreciation is like opening a door into a new world.

Music Examinations

Practical and Theory examinations are available for students regularly every year.  All teachers at Booval School of Music are qualified to prepare students for either practical and/or theory examinations.  Speak to your teacher if you wish to prepare for an examination.
